Artist's Description
Wavelength is the tenth studio album by Northern Iris singer-songwriter Van Morrison, released in September 1978 on Warner Brothers Records. The album leaned towards a pop rock sound with prominent electric guitars and synthesizers, a new sound from Morrison. Wavelength was his best selling album at the time of release and achieved Gold certification (500,000 copies sold) in three months. I contains none tracks, eight written by Morrison and one in collaboration with Jackie De Shannon, “Santa Fe/
Beautiful Obsession”, for a total time of 49:32.
Born in 1945 Van Morrison now with 41 albums to his credit he is considered one of the greatest singer-songwriters of his time. He has successfully performed a wide spectrum of musical genres that include rock, R&B, folk, blues, soul Celtic, jazz, soft rock, country, gospel and Americana. In the end he just defines himself as a soul singer.
About Robert VanDerWal
As you can see from the various Collections, my areas of interest are broad. I work at letting the subject speak for itself and strive to offer something that gets your attention because it got mine. I have been behind a camera most of my life. It started in high school as newspaper and yearbook photographer. After serving in the US Armed Forces I attended Brooks Institute of Photography. Most of my career however was dedicated to video production as a director of photography, camera operator, editor, and owner operator of a video production company in Denver, Colorado. Since 2011 I have returned to my roots in still photography, making the transition from film to digital. Thank you so much for your interest in my work. I hope...
