Artist's Description
Texas Flood is the debut studio album by American blues rock band Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble, released June 13, 1983 by Epic Records. The album was named after the cover song “Texas Flood” that was first recorded by blues singer Larry Davis in 1958. Double Trouble was a power trio, Vaughan-guitar and vocals, Tommy Shannon-bass, and Chris Layton-drums. While performing at the Montreux Jazz Festival in July 1982 they caught the attention of Jackson Brown who offered them three free days of recording in his Los Angeles studio. After a day of set-up Texas Flood was recorded in the remaining two days with no overdubs. A demo was pulled from the session and presented to legendary record producer John H. Hammond and were signed by Epic Records. The two singles that were released were over shadowed by the album which quickly rose to #38 on the Billboard 200 chart immediately after it's release and went Platinum in Canada and 2X Platinum in the U.S. My favorite cut is the...

I have been behind a camera most of my life. It started in high school as newspaper and yearbook photographer. After serving in the US Armed Forces I attended Brooks Institute of Photography.
