Axis Bold as Love is the second studio album by the English-American rock band the Jimi Hendrix Experience. Release by Reprise Records in May 1968 (#6281). The Album charted at number 3 in the UK and number 6 in the US.
A review in Q magazine that ironically rings true states that the album “dazzles as the Experience creates a genre probably short-lived because nobody else could play it”. Jimi Hendrix dies September 18, 1970.
Axis Bold as Love contains thirteen tracks totaling 38:49 and includes these titles on Side One: “EXP”, “Up From the Skies”, “Spanish Castle Magic”, “Wait Until Tomorrow”, “Ain't No Telling”, “Little Wing”, and “If Six Were Nine”. Side Two: “You Got Me Floating”, “Castles Made of Sand”, “She's So Fine” (Noel Redding), “One Rainy Wish”, “Little Miss Lover” and “Bold as Love”.
