Nevermind is the second studio album by American rock band Nirvana, released on 14 September 1991 by DGC Records. Kurt Cobain wanted the album to sound like a fusion of pop music like the Knack and Bay City Rollers along with heavier bands like Black Flag and Black Sabbath. The album is typically associated with “grunge” and unexpectedly became a critical and commercial success. In January 1992 it reached #1 on the US Billboard 200, selling about 300,000 copies a week. The lead single “Smells Like Teen Spirit” peaked at #6 on the US Billboard Hot 100.
Nevermind was responsible in part for bringing both grunge and alternative rock music to the mainstream and ending the dominance of “hair metal”. It has sold over 30 million copies worldwide, making it one of the best-selling albums of all time. As you can see from the various Collections, my areas of interest are broad. I work at letting the subject speak for itself and strive to offer something that gets your attention because it got mine. I have been behind a camera most of my life. It started in high school as newspaper and yearbook photographer. After serving in the US Armed Forces I attended Brooks Institute of Photography. Most of my career however was dedicated to video production as a director of photography, camera operator, editor, and owner operator of a video production company in Denver, Colorado.
