Cracked Rear View is the debut album by Hootie & the Blowfish, an American rock band formed in 1986 and released 5 July 1994 by Atlantic Records. The album remains their most successful and was the best selling album of 1995 with 10.5 million units sold. It is the 19th best selling album of all time in the US. By 2018 the album was certified 21X Platinum by the RIAA.
While on the Billboard 200 that year it reached #1 on the charts in Canada and New Zealand. The Billboard 200 of 1990-1999 rates the album #7. In 1996 the single “Let Her Cry” won the Grammy Award for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group With Vocals and the band won the Best New Artist Grammy also. The band’s lineup included Darius Rucker – vocals, acoustic guitar, Mark Bryan – electric & acoustic guitar, mandolin, piano, Dean Felber, bass clavinet, vocals, and Jim “Soni” Sonefeld – drums, percussion, vocals. As you can see from the various Collections, my areas of interest are broad. I work at letting the subject speak for itself and strive to offer something that gets your attention because it got mine. I have been behind a camera most of my life. It started in high school as newspaper and yearbook photographer. After serving in the US Armed Forces I attended Brooks Institute of Photography. Most of my career however was dedicated to video production as a director of photography, camera operator, editor, and owner operator of a video production company in Denver, Colorado.
